Welcome to TMSA Public Charter Schools Admissions!
Thank you for your interest in joining North Carolina’s growing network of high-performing, nonprofit, tuition-free STEAM-focused public charter schools. TMSA serves more than 5,900 students from kindergarten through 12th grade across six campuses in TMSA Apex, Charlotte, Triad, and Triangle. Our application process is simple, fast, and free.

New families must submit a fresh application each year due to limited spots, while current TMSA students do not need to reapply. You can review our Enrollment Guide and learn more about our lottery process, held each February to ensure a fair and transparent admissions system. Preference status is granted to qualified applicants, including siblings of current students, children of staff and board members, and active-duty military families.

Once admitted, families must complete the enrollment and registration process within two weeks of accepting their seat, providing all required documentation such as proof of residency, student records, and immunization forms.

Mark your calendars for key dates — the application portal opened on November 1, 2025, and the lottery will be held on February 9, 2026. Families are also encouraged to attend Information Nights and School Tours to experience our vibrant learning communities firsthand.
