EC Program and Services

We provide a range of services tailored to each student’s individual needs. These supports ensure that every learner can access the curriculum, make progress, and develop the skills necessary for long-term success.

  • Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) help students meet grade-level standards and individualized goals by adapting content, instructional methods, and delivery.
  • Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) guide services for each student receiving EC support. An IEP outlines present performance levels, annual goals, accommodations, modifications, service minutes, and how progress will be monitored. These plans are created by a multidisciplinary team that includes families.
  • Inclusion and resource services are offered based on student needs. Support may occur in the general education classroom through co-teaching, or in small-group settings where students receive targeted instruction outside the classroom.
  • Related services such as occupational therapy, counseling, and assistive technology may also be provided. These services help remove barriers so students can fully access their education.
  • Progress monitoring is conducted consistently, with EC teachers collecting data on student growth and providing families with regular updates aligned to the student’s IEP goals.
  • Transition planning prepare students for life after high school through post-secondary planning, career readiness, and the development of independent living skills.

Looking AheadWe are committed to supporting our students’ successful transition to college, careers, and independent adulthood, ensuring they are prepared, confident, and ready to thrive beyond high school.
